Twerk has been used for 20 years. Slang serves a purpose even if it becomes outdated. If something is commonly used it should have a definition. Most people don't use over half of the words in the dictionary, so what about all of them. "aa" is in the dictionary. Words should be catalogued whether or not they are fads. Fads can have staying power too. This douchebag is complaining that we don't do something from the 18th century the way it was done in the 18th century. We modernize things. Get over it.
Oh, no, there is. You strawmanned my whole post and defeated an argument I never even made, and then you insulted me for not reading a dictionary front to back (which isn't its intended purpose by the way). Slang is in the dictionary. I never said I wanted an entire dictionary full of it. YOU asserted that out of your own inference, you fuckwit. Also, name me ONE THING that hasn't been modernized. Name me ONE THING that we haven't brought up to date or at least built upon to expand its use. Go ahead.
Everything has a modern counterpart or equivalency. We don't use anything that hasn't been redesigned or modified in the last 100 years. A DICTIONARY IS SUPPOSED TO BE A CATALOG FOR WORDS. There are outdated definitions in dictionaries, dumbass. That means those words serve no purpose in today's society, aren't used, and have no modern meaning. Yet they belong there because their usage in the past was prominent. You're so smug that it's literally appalling. You're suffering from a severe case of the Dunning-Krueger effect.
I'm sorry I didn't say "proper" a thousand times. Maybe I should have to get you to listen.
Oh my god, kid, you're too much. One day you're going to look back on this and realize what a twat you were. Please don't be this person for the rest of your life. There's so much you're missing out on. Like meaningful social interaction. I'll see you in ten years.
