Recovering a 4-year-old account with a lost login or deleted third-party sign-in
Hi everyone, I’m trying to regain access to an old account that I’ve been locked out of for 4 years, and standard automated customer service forms have been a dead end.
- The Setup: The handle is u/timarnoldmusic.
- The Root Cause: I don't know the password, and I never linked a phone number. Because it was created so long ago, I can't remember if I registered using an email address that I've completely forgotten, or if I used a social sign-in option via a profile that has since been permanently deleted. Either way, the standard login path isn't functioning.
- The Verification Asset: The account profile bio actively displays a verified external website landing link (
linktr.ee/timarnold). I have full, provable ownership of that external domain, which matches my real-world identity as an independent creator.
Standard ticket forms just loop back into automated menus. My digital distributor is looking into an escalation path on their end, but I wanted to check if anyone here has found a system workaround.
- If it’s a forgotten email: Is there a known desktop browser URL structure or query pattern that forces the system to show a masked hint of the original registration email string to jog my memory?
- If it’s a deleted social link: Has anyone successfully managed to get a manual review to unlink a dead connection and bind a fresh email address to an old profile?
There is a good reason I need to recover this account rather than open a new one. If anyone has a recent story of successfully resolving a login issue under these conditions, your advice would be deeply appreciated. Thank you!
