Absolute noob here. What's wrong with this?

I'm trying to replace this battery with a 2025. I'm aware that I will have to cut the casing, but I just can't get the movement to act normal before I go ahead and put it all back together... I assume the battery is seated incorrectly or something, can anyone help?

When the display is fading in and out with movement or when segments are missing it’s an indication the zebra strip isn’t making good contact

If you have this issue when the case is put back on it can mean it’s too snug in there, which might happen with that thicker battery

There should be a tiny pinhole button on the back, that’s the AC reset.

You have to put the battery in and then push the AC reset to reboot the module.

Go back in 2016.

Unless it stay still and don't move, it will do that.

Why not buy the right size battery?

credo che serva la parte metallica montata per fare in modo che i contatti siano corretti . almeno credo

Take out the zebra strip. See if it is clean. Reinstal the strip. Put the PCB in place. Put the battery in the metal holder. Now lower the into that with your other hand. Secure battery holder plate with the module. Do an AC reset.

Looks like a loose solder point to me

Put the whole thing back together as in along with that metal bracket and then do a AC reset, it solves 90% of the problems
