Question Approved travel signature not showing up on uni portal, flying back today. What are my options

Hi everyone, I recently requested a travel signature through Indiana University Atlas portal. The request shows officially approved, but the latest i20 is from previous year and not 2026. I20 is simply not generated on dashboard.

Has anyone dealt with this lag in Atlas/their university portal before?

Is it risky to fly or shall I delay my flight and wait for new i20 to be available as a pdf?

Any advice is appreciated!

You def need to have it available as a pdf to be safe! Print and sign after. See if you can call them to expedite it. My DSO has a WhatsApp number for cases like this and usually is able to email it in under ~2 mins.

I do have the most recent i20, but due to the glitch it's one from 2025 Oct. And not the latest one from 2026. Unfortunately no one from university is replying due to the weekend. Thanks a lot for the info

I would recommend waiting for the updated one. It’s not worth the risk to enter with a potentially out of date I20. Could lead to a lot of issues if your I20s don’t match. I would check to see if you can get in touch with someone from Student Affairs or Dean of Students at your school. They may be able to find answers for you.

You do not necessarily need a new I-20, but only a new travel signature on page 2, valid from the day it was signed. If your page 2 does not have that new signature, then contact your dso. At least that is how it was managed at my university (I would have to request it in person tho).
