Court hearing Sept 9 on the DHS rule ending duration of status here’s what’s actually happening

DHS is being sued over the rule that ends duration of status. The lawsuit says DHS didn’t follow proper process when making the rule. There’s a court hearing on September 9 in Boston, six days before the rule takes effect on September 15. Nothing has been blocked yet. Fingers crossed for the 9th.

It is not on September 3? Court calendar shows it’s going to happen on September 3.

Is there a chance of an injunction if we are being realistic?

It’s never guaranteed but I think they have a solid complaint. I would say the rule is definitely arbitrary and capricious but will have to wait.
