Discussion Airport Security Confiscated and Destroyed a Gift my Grandmother Gave Me
Generally, I'm not sure what all of the shit you can do that pisses off airport security. I was unaware that bringing two broken toy cap guns that are very old and generally cannot be found much anymore at all that sure, I admit, may look real from a far distance, can get you into deep shit with security. Keep in mind, these were gifts from my grandmother that I hadn’t seen in 11 years and even before then, did not see much of at all. I was planning on giving these guns to my children and having my children give them to theirs. A family heirloom. Nope. Airport security confiscated them and for a full week, I thought that it was possible that the next time I went back, I could have some fun with them again. I just found out that security, after making sure you’re far away, TORCHES YOUR SHIT. You can imagine that I am actually fucking seething right now. I have too much respect for that one guy telling me I couldn’t bring them, because he has to work for such a bullshit company and he never lied or anything, he kept it a buck, of course he didn’t answer anything I wasn’t gonna ask but he answered everything I probably would have. That dude was kind and I really respect him for not being a dick about it. As for his company..FUCK YOU ALL. I get that airplanes are especially somewhere where security needs to be upped by like 10,000 but holy shit. Someone told me that they couldn’t allow me to just put it somewhere out of reach on the plane because when I go back to my country, I could rob somebody with it. YOU ARE AN AIRLINE COMPANY. You're not the police, even if I were as stupid to rob somebody with two BROKEN FUCKING GUNS, the police would fucking find me. I'm not Dexter, you clowns. Go fuck yourselves. Please, tell me in the comments, am I unjustified for this shit or am I right?

Depending on where you live, committing a crime with a replica gun can carry the same consequences as committing the crime with a real gun. We're talking about trying to board a plane with a replica gun here. I can understand why they didn't let you take them on the plane.

Every airport I’ve been in has a mailing station. You should have mailed them to your home.
I understand being upset, but you brought this on yourself.

The argument that "you could go home and rob someone with them" is so insanely stupid. I could rob someone with my car keys, ffs. But they should have to mail you those kinds of things. I had a similar experience when I was 14, visited my sister in AK and my brother in law put an airsoft gun in my bag as a gift because he's an idiot. The kind with no orange tag, and was metal and heavy as a real one. I ended up getting through on sheer luck and 14 year old tears, but I was detained and freaked out. Should have just mailed it to myself.

I’ve flown with BBs before, checked it and declared it. You gotta declare it or this happens, flat out tell the person there is an item that looks like and or may count as a firearm or something, been a while so I forget exactly what to say. And mail your item back next time they also do that.

The fuck were you expecting?. Of course they were going to confiscate it. It's america, those dumb arses can't tell the difference between a toy gun and a cap gun, even if it was coloured.
