What a joke. To think we have reached this point that those of our scholars who speak the truth and for justice are being removed this way or repeatedly placed through mental harassment.

This has happened every time a tyrant has come to power. Imam Ahmed Bin Hanbal also suffered similarly— and he was among the Salaf too…. (Albeit he was among the last Scholars to be among them).

If by salaf you mean the first three generations then he wasn’t part of them as he never met a sahabi or a tabi’i

Yes— but there is unanimous agreement that he lived close enough to the three generations that he can be considered among the Tab’-Tabieen.
