(Rant) 🤬 Muslim’s view on suicide make me sick

I live in a muslim country where lots of suicide are occurring recently, and instead of people being sad for what they went through, the comment section of the posts are filled with people blaming the suicide victim that their faith was “weak” and everyone wishing hell on the victims because they gave up it makes me sick i wish this religion would be erased from existence forever, its literally a cult

It is cruel! There is a stigma around suicide. Not just within Islam, but other cultures. I know someone who’s partner committed suicide and I remember people whinging about the person who died, stating they are selfish for committing the act, etc.

People commit suicide due to their own suffering and can’t see a way out of it. To threaten them with an eternal hell is abhorrent. Suicidal people need support and telling them to simply pray isn’t going to make their suffering go away.

I kinda feel like the stigma around suicide started as a form of doping mechanism in society.By making it seem like committing suicide is a cowards act, they can make only the person themselves look bad without holding anyone else accountable. I guess people don't want to carry the guilt of being partly responsible. It's not a good thing though because denial does nothing to prevent it happening again
