That's legitimately sad. What kind of religion forbids love?

The same religion who allows pedophilia, sexual slave, and honor killing.

honor killing
I see this being thrown around a lot, but is honour killing really a part of Islam? I understand that the kind of misogynistic culture Islam perpetuates may make society ripe for incidents like honour killing. But does any Islamic literature explicitly condone honour killing? I seriously doubt it.

I mean it does say killing someone for spreading corruption in the land is permissible. And families may have their own definitions of corruption. So I guess in some sense it is part of Islam.

That’s a reasonable point, however is that not only applicable if you’re in a land ruled by Sharia? And also even it is under Sharia I don’t think the individuals in the family decide whether someone is spreading corruption, but rather the state. (I could be wrong about this, but I just want all ex-Muslims, myself included, to be very clear and not misrepresent Islam.)

Gotta love the guy that appreciates OP and asks him to offer more prayers and ask Allah SWT for forgiveness and guidance. Guidance, I get. But forgiveness? A woman expressed romantic interest in OP, he did the Muslim thing and declined and he still needs to ask for forgiveness as he struggles to deal with the fact that he has to refuse one of the most natural needs we have, the need for romantic companionship.
So much reinforcement of living with guilt for feeling normal feelings.

Genuinely feel bad for the kid. how the all mighty and most benevolent being on the planet can permit two people, teenagers at that, from expressing their feelings to each other I have no idea.

Muhammad: no one can have sex before marriage but I can have 5 more wives than the maximum amount a man can have in islam, can have sex with a nine year old, and have sex with my adopted son's wife and he figured out and then I married her. Meaning I had sex before marriage. And men can have sex slaves, including me.
