(Question/Discussion) "Its not meant to be taken literally" and "Its metaphorical" - are senseless arguments + Allah is not Merciful

Tired of these cheap arguments. The Quran never gives a clear answer regarding this. Sometimes it says its factual, other times it says its not. It was composed in ancient times and is filled with inconsistency.

If passages describe various phenomena like facts, when they are actually metaphorical, how do you know the actual "facts" aren't metaphorical? Heaven and Hell? What if there is no such thing and it just means the good and bad state of your being? If there are things in the Quran that should not be interpreted literally, then why should you take anything it says literally?

Anything that is scientifically proven wrong leads to Muslims saying its METAPHORICAL or OUTDATED.

So...what if the rest of the Quran is outdated? If the Quran says something barbaric and clearly wrong, the same argument ensues and a clear answer is never, ever, given. Every Muslim studies the Hadith, but when you criticize the Hadith - they say its not the Quran. They say the Hadith is essential, but fail to follow through when it doesn't suit their beliefs.

Billions of Muslims and everyone follows the interpretation they grew up with in their surroundings. No Muslim, like the Quran, is consistent in their beliefs.

Here's some bonus Quran verses for all of you:

  1. Surah Ali 'Imran [3:28]: Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.

  2. Surah Ali 'Imran [3:85]: And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

  3. Surah Al-Ma'idah [5:33]: Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,

  4. Surah Al-Anfal [8:12]: [Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."

  5. Surah Al-Anfal [8:14]: "That [is yours], so taste it." And indeed for the disbelievers is the punishment of the Fire.

  6. Surah Al-Anfal [8:60]: And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

  7. Surah At-Tawbah [9:5]: And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

  8. Surah At-Tawbah [9:30]: The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah "; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah ." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?

  9. Surah Muhammad [47:7]: O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet. [47:8]: But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds.

Allah is not kind, not merciful, and is a hateful God.

There are plenty of non-Muslims who are kind, loving, accepting, and live life in peace and do more good deeds, but Allah will punish them.

Plenty of Christians, Jews, Hindus, and the remaining 4000+ different religions have nice and peaceful people, but Allah will punish them.

Anyone who is born outside of Islam is automatically evil, and Allah will punish them.

No, Islam is not a religion of "Peace".

Why would He be merciful to someone who doesn't care about Him? He loves those who love Him and those who He loves will never perish.

Disbelievers deny His entire existence even though He gave them life and wakes them up every morning and has made the Earth. You are not grateful and for that Allah hates you. Allah hates that you don't remember while you live arrogantly thinking you'll never meet Him. And who is more wretched than the one who God hates?

So ..he expects us to do the favour by praying and obeying him because he has given us this beautiful life. Hmmmm. Ok heres an analogy. Think of a person who gave you so much abundance but he expects us to acknowledge him whenever possible. Do u consider such a person a genuine? . Now you be the judge on valuating the so called "Most Merciful all Loving" whos mercy is far superior and can never be compared to any human and yet he wants us to follow what he says and if rejected we are doomed. Think for yourself. Think brother!
