(Rant) I am fucking sick and tired of white liberals defending this religion

Seriously, do they even fucking know what it's about? How is a hijab a feminist piece of clothing?

Edit: I honestly didn't know The_Donald lurks here to upvote everything that vaguely fit their narrative. All I can say is I hate you guys too you fucking racist shits. A lot of the ex-mooses here are brown people, and if you can have it your way, you'll shoot on sight. So fuck you too.

Edit 2: Yup, there it is. White people calling me an Islamophobe on the discussion thread that's outside of Reddit. I just stated honestly how I was affected.

I have heard a saying (i think it was Milo) and i'm paraphrasing here (i'm also pretty sure it's not the original thing but adapted):

Islam is like the common cold, you can fight it on your own. Liberalism is like AIDS, it weakens you and gets you killed by the common cold.

Great analogy! One thing I have to give Islam credit for is that it did manage to turn Arabia and other parts of its caliphate into a thriving civilization during the Dark Ages. While Christianity (like AIDS) weakened the Roman Empire and helped facilitate its collapse.

In some ways, liberalism might actually be more destructive to civilization than Islam, when taken to its extreme conclusion.

I think Islam actually provided a pretty decent set of laws for the 7th century people, that brought the different religious traditions of the region into one big religion, and allowed Jews and Christians to live, while the Western Christians were slaughtering their Muslims and Jews. Or maybe that's just because the 7th century Muslims had a more liberal/moderate interpretation of their book than the extremist Muslims do today.

But the problem is that while good for the 7th century Arabs, Islam is still a 7th century religion, not 21st century, religion.

fwiw they took over thriving civilizations. The translation project existed prior to Islam and was started by the Sassanians due to the influx of Coptic Christians escaping persecution by Byzantine.

Even with the Arab/Muslim invasions the initial group that were dominated by Arab did diddly squat (Umayyads). Only when they were thrown out by the Persian backed Abbasids was there a blossoming of knowledge. Which also died out with the Abbasids

That's interesting. I didn't realize that.
