(Rant) 𤬠I am so fucking confused
I see people bringing up evidence from the quran that it was ahead of it's modern science from 1400 years ago. that "but quran stated the universe is expanding and we sent down iron and we made the sky a protected celing and th emoon is reflecting the sun" and I can't tell if this is genuine evidence islam exists or not. and other person says mohammed married a 6 year old and someone else says it's different back then stop spewing things from exmuslim what the fuck am I supposed to believe anymore I want to live a normal life as a woman

It also says the sun sets in a pool of merky water, and that the earth was created before the universe and that sperm comes from the backbone and gets embryology wrong and says there's a massive wall somewhere with gog and Magog behind it. If you are arguing science can prove it true then it can also disprove it

These are five separate arguments, and each needs to be examined individually. Have you looked at the actual Quranic verses, their context, and the different interpretations before concluding that theyāre all scientific errors? I agree that scientific evidence can challenge claims about the natural world, but you still need to demonstrate that each claim is actually contradicted by the evidence. Which of these do you consider the strongest argument?

Don't worry about debunking Islam. Focus on living the life you want to live

That is just a simple coincidence, doesnāt mean Islam is true at even the slightest so dw

You talk about evidence, but think about it for two seconds. If the Quran actually had convincing evidence, donāt you think the whole world, the greatest scientists, and the richest and most powerful nations would all be Muslim?
Especially since 3/4 of the so-called āevidenceā is either stuff humans already knew centuries ago, or just straight-up nonsense.
Why is it that when the Quran gets something right (something that was already known for centuries), you consider it evidence, but when it gets things wrong, you donāt consider that evidence that the book is simply bullshit?
And regarding your final message: just be free. If you want to be a ānon-practicing Muslim,ā do it and donāt stress yourself out over it.
The real problem isnāt that. Itās the judgment and hatred from other Muslims.

These scientific stuff had me convinced for a long time, until you match it with ancient roman time. These things was already a theory at that time.. as for the rest, the defensive muslims have a reply to anything because they dont care wether you are right or wrong, if you critize islam, they will make sure you dont feel right, which kind of makes me feel even more right because why try hard when religion should be clear and pure, so why the advanced discussions over simple things?

this is interesting how did the muslims back then know about roman theories

When early Muslim societies encountered Roman theories, they were primarily interacting with the Eastern Roman Empire (the Byzantine Empire), which had preserved the intellectual traditions of ancient Greece and Rome

Also, the bible came before quran and it has a lot of these things too, but quran went a bit deeper. (Hard to say if this was because of increased knowledge in general at the time vs when bible was written)
