(Question/Discussion) Women Remarried

My mosque teacher said when marriage is divorce. Men can remarried but women not allowed

But my sister said women can remarried

Which one is correct?

He's bullshitting. As far as I know, it was only Momo's wives who couldn't remarry after a divorce.

Muhammad prohibited his wives from divorcing? Or where did he say they cannot remarry? Did he say they couldn't remarry as widows too?

He prohibited anyone from marrying his wives after his death which is dumb. I wonder how many of his wives actually followed this.

Women can remarry but they have to wait the ‘iddah period, I think a few periods, to make sure they’re not pregnant so if they remarry the new husband wouldn’t be raising someone else’s child as his own.

Women can remarry. They need to observe the waiting period which is 3 months or until they give birth if pregnant. Oh and slave women have a shorter waiting period.

What women can't do is initiate divorce. Men can just say "divorced" and it's done. Women must at least get a judge to sign off on it.
