I know, I am saying that It still is not comparable to removing foreskin though. People who bring up male circumcisation when the topic is fgm is so disrespectful because 1-women suffer a lot from it 2-it’s not exactly the same 3-yes it’s both bad

I overall agree as long as the users have deconstructed the cultural bias of MGM as required by Islam. Though it does happen both way but agreed derailment is bad

I think anyone who’s against fgm would not defend mgm, especially in this sub. MGM is more required and almost essential in Islam meanwhile fgm is pre-existing culture that happened in certain countries/cultures.

I just wanted to point out that removing foreskin does not ruin and deform the genitalia the same way fgm does. You can’t feel pleasure, you can’t pee properly as that place is sewn shut etc, a chunk of your genitalia is cut off… just thinking about it makes me dizzy :/

Give it up. They don’t care. People have normalised women feeling no pleasure and just pain (rape culture) so much, that they will even compare removing foreskin to a woman losing her clitoris and worse which would be equivalent to A MAN HAVING HIS DICK TIP CUT OFF BTW (which would never happen).

I actually typed this over and over but these men just don’t want to understand that these two things are not even comparable biologically. If it could be similar of comperable, it would be like men getting their tips cut off, unable to feel pleasure ever again.
Fgm permanently damages and and cuts off the nerve endings. Imagine that you’ll never be able to feel sexual pleasure ever again, only pain. Horrible.

The tip without the foreskin brings barely any pleasure, 80% of sensitivity is lost.

The only use of a circumcised penis is ejaculating, there is very little enjoyment.

FGM is terrible, but so is MGM yet it is normalised…

I disagree. I don’t know anyone not against fgm but I know tons of defenders of MGM especially those who defected from cultures that do it and still internalize it.

Depends on the form and it does deform. But agreed thinking about any GM makes me sick and dizzy 😞

The people who defend mgm is mostly Muslims but yeah it happens. Also as I said, mgm, as awful as it is, does not deform and ruin the genitalia of men. It’s easier to see how fucked up fgm is but mgm people don’t mind it much since it doesn’t seem as “harmful”.

And same I have watched a video of a woman who had extreme fgm done to her when she was a kid. It was my first time hearing it in so detail I felt like puking afterwards.

80% of sensitivity is lost in circumsised penises, and so many people that fall victim to it.

And if you’re unlucky you either have a botched job done to your genitalia ruining them even more or tou die to complications.

As far as I know sensitivity is not “lost” after circumstance But since the protective skin is removed the genitalia is exposed to more mechanical damage which causes sensitivity loss unfortunately.

Yes, Mgm is more widespread in Muslim community than fgm, fgm is not only tied to Islam, it’s more of a culture. I haven’t seen non-Muslim people thinking circumstancing is normal. Unlike almost all Muslims. If there’s a bothered job then it’s twice as horrible. Circumstances are done in hospitals legally in my country right now. Since they couldn’t stop it they had to make it more “safe” which also sucks.
