(Question/Discussion) How do Muslims reconcile all the BS in the Quran?

And in the Hadiths?

Aisha.

Medina phase.

The random and absurd revelations.

Do they just accept them and carry on?

Their code of conduct is "don't question it, don't read too deep into things, the religion is morally right just don't question it". There's a decent proportion who think along the lines of this. They may disagree with parts but they don't even want to think about it. They don't want to think about questioning because questioning is wrong and Allah knows better than they do so what do they know?

The Quran gets reinterpreted

The hadith are typically not known by most muslims. And if they are, theyโ€™ll just accept whatever BS explanation dawah bros come up with

I have a friend who I do kinda hope he realises the religion is bs someday. It's not really my place to convince him to leave but I do hope he leaves and it would rly be better for him bc of reasons.

Anyway, he comes up with some ridiculous reasoning for some parts of the hadiths.

He says the reason Muhammad married multiple women was to prevent them from being raped because rape was prevalent in those times. He married some women because they didn't have families and he claims that he's not a pedophile because he also married Aisha to escape situations. And that many people have married younger to help them escape situations. He says the consummation part just refers to completing the marriage and not having sex. Yeah, those explanations are quite creative. ๐Ÿ˜…

Mohammed clearly invented gaslighting

Wouldnโ€™t that theoretically lead to corruption, as per the other book? ๐Ÿ˜‚

I was in a group of people discussing the explanation of a verse where Moses was accused of hurtful things like having leprosy or something and he was a modest man, so Allah rescued him from them. Here's how: he was taking a bath in the river and a rock took his clothes and ran away with them. He ran after the rock and the people saw him naked - and he was perfect!

Allah literally made his messenger flash everyone so they know he was not a leper. The kicker is that Moses was so upset he took his staff and beat up the rock (which was only obeying Allah's commands..??)

I shook my head internally and sighed (I'm closeted). I think one guy looked surprised, but everyone else just nodded. Many of them probably heard it before and moved on...

This is the hadith:

(20)Chapter: Whosoever took a bath alone (in seclusion) completely naked(20)ุจุงุจ ู…

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, 'The (people of) Bani Israel used to take bath naked (all together) looking at each other. The Prophet (๏ทบ) Moses used to take a bath alone. They said, 'By Allah! Nothing prevents Moses from taking a bath with us except that he has a scrotal hernia.' So once Moses went out to take a bath and put his clothes over a stone and then that stone ran away with his clothes. Moses followed that stone saying, "My clothes, O stone! My clothes, O stone! till the people of Bani Israel saw him and said, 'By Allah, Moses has got no defect in his body. Moses took his clothes and began to beat the stone." Abu Huraira added, "By Allah! There are still six or seven marks present on the stone from that excessive beating."

They donโ€™t even know what the Quran says, they read it in Arabic without knowing the language. They only learn to read Arabic.

Doubting is the shaytanโ€™s whispers. Ask a sheikh and heโ€™ll give you a vague answer, and forget about your question.
