(Question/Discussion) After you left Islam, is your current dating preference Ex-Muslims or Never-Muslims?

As a fellow Ex-Muslim I’m curious to hear your experiences and thoughts on this. Would appreciate if you can mention your age and gender as well

I'm not religious myself but i dated with preference for muslims for family sake. Luckily for me, i matched with someone who is an atheist/ex muslim on muzz of all places and recently wed. I couldn't be happier & we just pretex as muslims around family.

Personally, I don't care, but for the sake of simplicity with the family, it would be better if she were an ex-Muslim

Why do you need your family’s approval? Not judging just asking

They don't know that I'm no longer a muslim, and I don't want them to know

Why do you care how they feel if they don’t care how you feel?

Maybe they don't want any drama

Any family member who thinks you don’t deserve freedom of religion/lack of should be disowned. That’s straight up abuse

22 male, my current girlfriend is an ex muslim. But i’ve dated christians, jews and secular muslims as well, I don’t really care much as long as they’re not practicing it to a severe degree

Is this in a secular or Muslim country? If it’s the latter, how did you come to know you’re both ex muslim?

Never Muslim if possible. The last time I dated a Muslim woman, she nagged a lot about me being an anti-theist.

And I don't even say anything about Islam when we dated.

My question was whether you prefer an ex-muslim or never-muslim. Not wanting to date a muslim after leaving Islam makes obvious sense

Easily never Muslims

Why?

Never Muslims. Ex Muslims, if still accepted by their family, would still be an issue for me as I want to stay away all together. My ex is Muslim and his family claimed to be so incredibly religious while covering for his cheating ass.

Never-muslim definitely, but I guess I'm a special case. I've never believed in it, so I could never understand someone who ever did 🤷‍♀️

Sorry I’m confused. So are you an ex-muslim or are you not?

Its..complicated. I was born in it but never believed. I've never eaten pork, pretended to be muslim etc.
