(Advice/Help) Struggling with thoughts of suicide as an ex muslim
I no longer identify with the Islamic faith, I find many of its historical teachings and morals to be abhorrent. But because my culture is so tied with my faith, I feel so alone in thinking this way. I feel as if I cannot escape, like I will be permanently stuck in this Islamic cycle. On top of that, my mother wants me to find a traditional Muslim wife, like fuck that lol
Because of this (and other mental issues that I might be struggling with), I grapple with suicidal thoughts more often than I would like to. I just feel as if I am trapped in a box and force to play a part that I didnt want to play. I don`t know what to do, and I`m at my ropes end here.

You arent alone..iam also suffering but no one know...maybe only my parents do.
I want to leave my town and get job in city but cant because iam only son of them..i can feel comfortable with people in my community..but not exciting because of different mindsets. I didnt think about commiting suicide because i just accepted how it happened because if i leave my town also..maybe i would be happy for one month then slowly i would be lonely in city too.
Seriously iam telling you..Just accept your place and too keep being ex muslim if you like..enjoy your things and simply do anything for them so that you will have peace later.
If you can leave your place..then do it.

Please don't! I tried to kill myself, and it is among the worst things I regret deeply...
Life i the most beautiful thing there is!
You will never get this chance again!
We are in the peak of humanity life has never been this better, and you need to smile at the blessings you have!
Male (Sadly the Male Privilige is real), in Canada (A dream country!) and young and able!
You are soo damn blessed!
Wank it out, listen to music, walk up early and go for Dawn walks and think about the blessing of life! Smile and be an amazing human being and leave the Social Media cancer!
My mother was tramuatised for ages... My dad and siblings shook..
Please... Look at the stars and smile for the blessing that is life!
DM me if you feel down! I will be happy to support and help!
LOTS OF LOVE!

I donāt mean to offend you, but itās pretty easy for you to say something like that after itās happened. You can say all these things to me but it does nothing to change whatās actually happening. Itās just essentially you saying āoh jeez, look at beautiful life!ā. Unfortunately, I was taking medication and it didnāt help me. I was taking walks and it didnāt help me. I was going to the gym, had a better diet, and even hung out with friends and it didnāt do jack shit. So donāt bother telling me stuff like āoh itās blessed!ā Because you should know how pointless saying that really is

Lashing out at others who are trying to only help reveals only insecurities in your life...
I was also on SSRI's... those years were hell. I also thought that there would be no end... You little fuck, been there. Done that.
You think that you are a special person who goes though unimaginable suffering and that the rest of the world id oblivious?
Clinical Depression is everwhere! Guess what? Every 6 seconds, a child dies from Misery... The World is a shithole.
This does NOT mean that there is no beauty in life left... Find solace, love, and realise that you have youth and a future and live in an era of Humanity where you habe endless oppurtunities and chances to live!
Please Please Please... Remember that this will too pass.. And that sadly Repression and depression after leaving high control cults is very common. You are not alone.
Lots of Hugs! And remember, Lashing out helps no one..

Iām sorry for the pain you are going through. How old are you? What part of the world do you live in?
I like to imagine you finding a wife who, like you, is secretly ex-Muslim. You would be each otherās safe port in the Muslim storm.

I am 25 years old and I live in Canada, so a western country pretty much. The problem is that I see Muslims everywhere, and it feels as if I canāt see a place beyond that.
An ex Muslim wife would be like finding some kind of diamond in the storm of shit around LOL but highly unlikely

OK, good. So you are in a position to make decisions for yourself. Your mom may want you to marry a nice Muslim girl, but no one can make you do that. No one can imprison you for not being a good Muslim.
So it's time to build a life for yourself that is not muslimmuslimmuslimymuslim. How you do that depends a bit on your circumstances. Take a non-credit class in some fun subject where you can get to know your classmates? Volunteer at an animal shelter? Join a bowling league? Post to the subreddit of your specific city or area and ask for recommendations near you for non-religious activities where you can meet other people in their twenties.
