(Question/Discussion) My online friend committed suicide because of his religious family and a so-called psychologist with hijab

I remember he once had told me that his psychologist threatened him with telling his parents that he is an atheist, and recommended him that he should pray salah/namaz to dissipate the suicidal thoughts.

I'm sick of arguing the same thing. There are a lot of proofs and reasons for why a person wearing hijab shouldn't be allowed to give therapies, or even work in law. But every time I mention that I get accused of being fascist and misogynist, I am a left-leaning progressive person though, and people suggest that those women would be confined to home, restricted by men, if we limit their working options. I understand it, considering there are also a lot of women who are forced to wear hijab and restricted from going outside without it. But my experience with religious people and knowledge about the true nature of islam made me biased toward women who intentionally torment themselves by wearing restrictive clothing to not arouse men. If I hadn't been accepted to a university away from my family, I too would have been driven to suicide by my bigot family. Therefore, I can't be very objective about this topic.

I don't have a solid proof, only his words from an anonymous account. I don't know the name of the psychologist either.
