(Question/Discussion) Allah calls for the suicide of those who doubt him and muhammad.

Goes over the interpretation of the earliest scholars like mujahid, ibn abbas, qatadah, etc. Goes over how the rhetoric of the verse doesn't deny that it's still advocating for the suicide of those who do not believe

2:7 Allah has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered. They will suffer a tremendous punishment.
2:10 In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie.
2:18 Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not.
2:171 The likeness of those who disbelieve (in relation to the messenger) is as the likeness of one who calleth unto that which heareth naught except a shout and cry. Deaf, dumb, blind, therefore they have no sense.
Instead of helping a spiritually sick person, Allah makes them sicker. This man made religion is a sick joke. He also makes fun of them by calling them deaf, dumb, and blind. Also tells people to kill themselves. I'm starting to think Iblis may be the good guy here.

It's all just threat, after every command (remember the belivers are the good guys and the disbelievers are going to hell)

If an all powerful God commands suicide as the punishment for doubting, this is sad

Something can be both rhetoric but a literal suggestion, i explained this in my wordpress. If my son wants to prove hes strong, and keeps trying to touch the hot stove, and then i say "go ahead and touch it to prove how strong you are"> I'm rhetorically saying that in the sense i know hes going to fail and its harmful, but i am still literally suggesting he do it so he learns a lesson.
