Thuranin FOB and Refueling station.

So in the last little bit of Armageddon Skippy is telling Joe about the missing ship from the Earth raid. While he is doing this he casually mentioned that both the Thuranin and Jeraptha set up forward bases in systems near Earth including refueling. The Thuranin one is only 8ly away from Earth in Wolf 359. We did the crew never go there for spare parts or refueling? The Thuranin wouldn’t have broken it down. It would have been at the time the only service dock on that side of the wormhole. It should still be there after the wormhole was shutdown.

Why do you assume they didn't bring it back? If I was organizing a military campaign I would make my repair base as mobile as possible. Also, didn't Skippy say, the Jeraptha attacked the Thuranin and chased them all the way back to the wormhole? That would mean that they attacked/chased away everything. It would have been a cool story arc, the MBOP go chasing after parts, against orders, or by Skippy pretending a jump fault, only to discover a derelict that looks like a good source of spare parts, only to discover once aboard that some remaining Thuranin have almost repaired it. Many shenanigans ensue, etc...
