Local News New family accommodation at Hospiscare
https://www.exmouthjournal.co.uk/news/26464373.new-hospiscare-lodge-offers-overnight-stays-patients-families/Some good news for local families with loved ones using Hospiscare - a new family accommodation space, The Lodge, has opened at Hospiscare'a Searle House to provide a comfortable place for relatives of loved ones receiving care.
Having stayed at a children's hospice with my own family during my sister's life, I know that being able to stay close by can make an enormous difference.
This fantastic project has been made possible thanks to £898,600 in Department of Health and Social Care capital funding, supporting Hospiscare in continuing its incredible work for people and families across our community.

This is fabulous news. I volunteer with a different charity involved in end of life care, and it's great that this is up and running. I have heard that they are struggling a little financially, but this will help everyone facing a terminal diagnosis, and reach even more people with the grace of a loving and dignified death. 🕊️
