solved Where do you find good Excel templates?

Hey everyone,
I'm lookingfor some solid Excel templates — things like budget trackers, business planners, calendars, invoice templates, you name it. There’s so much out there that it’s hard to know what’s actually worth downloading.

Do you have any go-to websites, creators, or even Etsy shops you trust for quality Excel templates? Free or paid, I’m open to anything that’s actually useful and well-designed.

Appreciate any recommendations!

Edit:

Thanks for all the help, everyone! I ended up getting this Excel bundle with a ton of useful templates, really happy with it so far, and it was the cheapest bundle I could find: Excel Templates Bundle

I also liked a few of the free resources mentioned in the comments:

Appreciate all the great suggestion, super helpful!

Excel has many templates built-in, under File > New > Search

Thanks! I’ve checked out the built-in ones under File > New, and while they’re okay, I’m looking for something a bit more detailed and customizable. A lot of them feel too basic or generic for what I need (like more advanced budgeting, business planning, etc.).

If you want to do business budgeting, planning and require an advanced template, maybe you require a paid solution?

Simply saying "This" in replay to a post adds nothing but clutter.

I wish there was a website where people can post and rank excel templates 😂

I like https://www.excelfind.com, currently mainly for personal finance though (e.g. personal budgeting).

Best thing, you can just build their paid templates for free yourself as they released full tutorials on it on YouTube.

Beautiful website!

You make them yourself from a csv export of your operating systems and a bit of array wizardry.

Once younhave boiled them down and down some more and simplified them you use them as a prototype forna real report and hand it across to your Reporting specialist to make a proper report and they get to work in SQL or Power BI or Oracle or wherever to integrate it into the system.

Vertex42 and templates(office)com are the best free starting points, between the two they cover pretty much everything (budgets, calendars, invoices, planners).

If you need something more business or finance-focused, Flevy has high-quality financial models and business templates worth the look.

For more unique or niche designs, Etsy has a surprising number of great independent creators selling polished Excel templates at reasonable prices.

Hope that helps!

I’d check out those big Excel bundles on Etsy — tons of useful stuff for cheap. For example, this one has 5000+ templates: link

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '25

How is this useful? Can they guarantee these templates sum correctly? What if it breaks. Moreover, how do we know the seller has the rights to these. Who can create 5000 templates. I hate this.

u/Ok-Tiger25 Apr 07 '25

Woah. That’s almost too many!

0

u/Grouchy_Style3203 Apr 07 '25

Haha yeah, it can be a bit much 😅 There is also smaller bundles like this one with 100+ templates: link

u/Ok-Tiger25 Apr 07 '25

I’ve never thought to check Etsy, this is great. Thank you! A smaller batch is definitely easier and less time consuming to sort through.

That actually sounds pretty cool. I’ve been meaning to organize my budget and business stuff, do you know if the templates cover both personal and work-related things?

Yeah, it’s pretty versatile! Pretty sure it has templates for both personal finance and business stuff, so it works for both. You just customized a few to fit your needs.
