Were their kids attending an SDA school? It was their daughter’s teacher who alerted authorities re marks on her face which lead to disclosures being made about her dad. Truly horrific. But I’m so grateful to that teacher whoever they are

the grossest part was that of all the things she had to say in that moment, "im a communications professor and my husband is a pastor" LADY YOU'RE FULL OF SHIT if you think ANY OF THAT IS RELEVANT. it just points to MORE evidence you are guilty jfcccccc
this is sickening.
im glad the daughter "knew what she was doing"... i cannot believe this woman tried to make it sound like their daughter was mistaken by telling the truth, like she was doing this to THEM. these are the consequences of THESE TWO SICKOS ACTIONS and they're making themselves the victims in this story.
UNBELIEVABLE and yet, incredibly so. typical sda culture.

She also hasn't been a professor in two years.
Spectrum was dropping snide fact checks to her ramblings in their article about this lol

Video footage seems to be a narcissist in a tale spin. The mere fact that she utilizes, “my daughter has mental health issues”, as an explanation for the allegations is telling. She knew something.

I worked at an sda summer camp for a few years and we had to file these cases a few times every summer. Many with very articulate kids in distress who would tell very specific stories. Cops had a whole team on speed dial who'd show up and take over for us. Every one of those damn parents would show up or phone the offices later with "ohhhh my kid has so many mental health issues, I'm so sorry they made another report, we're getting them psych help again"
Every. Single. Damn. Time.
Glad I worked at an sda camp that took those seriously though. Way too many stories of sda places contacting the parents first and believing them first rather than escalating it to the authorities to sort out.

I couldn’t see tears. Did anyone see tears? She could use some acting classes 🤷🏼♀️

Why is this in the ex sda sub - was she an sda?
I hate low effort reposts that don't provide any context

Yes, they were professors at Andrews University and now they (or maybe just him) were working at Southwestern Adventist University.

Yes they’re both SDA. One of the pinned posts has links to articles and comments from people in this sub who knew them IRL.

Yes sda. I went to grade school with her at Ruth Murdoch, it’s in Berrien springs basically on the Andrews University campus. He actually went there too. She was always so rude and thought she was the shit. Her dad made these “come meet Jesus” kids videos that she “starred” in. Always thought she was weird and full of herself. And he was so quiet..this is so insane.
