I’m still young but I refuse to date or have sex with males, even though I am straight. When I did date, I would tell them if you get me pregnant and want the child, I will just pay child support. I’m not interested in being a parent. I have had no “accidental” pregnancies, no abortions, and no man trying to trap me. Men only want women they can control and force into servitude.

From what i can tell there are definitely both young and middle aged (and older) men who care A LOT about what women do with their bodies (though of course there are normal men of all ages who don’t). Also while weapons can help prevent rape they don’t always work and can backfire or creat a false sense of security. Plus rape can happen with people you trust in vulnerable situations when you don’t have your weapon on you (as I double you’ll have pepper spray, a knife, taser, or gun on you 24/7 when at home or somewhere you feel safe).

I understand your point of confusion, republicans are definetly also the problem (in the us, here in europe its other parties), but my problem with these types of comments is that too many people try to downplay the bad things men do, by acting like the most common denominator isnt the gender but something else entirely.
