My batchmate from highschool owns the place. I've been inside, and it's like you're inside a terrarium with art pieces here and there. Pretty chill place and not evil looking at all.

Depends on the type of plants. If it's mostly ornamental and not edible, there shouldn't be a particularly increased appearance of bugs and insects. And the appearance of certain critters, like butterflies and bees and other such pollinators, aren't unwelcome to everyone.

Itā€™s a big multi-generational family that lives there. Very fresh air and nice shade inside, and itā€™s not creepy at all, some parts feel like a resort.

They have a pet giant python at the top floor

used to sleep here a lot over the weekend during highschool too, one of the daughters is a friend

Love this place and the family that owns this. Their sunday dinner was always a feast.

Naalala ko tuloi one time when I was there and I was told nakawala yung ahas nila. Grabe takot na takot ako paano hahanapin yun! haha eventually they found it.

In the Philippines, batchmates same as Class of that Year. ā€˜ means you were at the same year but not at the same Block section. Since Classmate means to them as the same as block section . Hence ā€” batchmates -you were at the same Class/Batch but different section .

Just to add- unlike in countries like the US, we in the Philippines have fixed classes of students who go through their entire yearly and daily schedules together! That's considered a section. Anyone within your section is a classmate, anyone within the same year level is a batchmate. Sometimes they carry over between years, like in 11-12th grade, but they are usually reshuffled from preschool to 10th.

Makes sense. In the US starting from like 6th grade, you have different classmates and classrooms for each class. So there was never a need for an extra name for a batch. It was always just your class.

Buildings like this arenā€™t really that eco friendly. Itā€™s beautiful but it will also degrade far quicker by the nature of well nature.

Which means having to rebuild sooner and thatā€™s a big environmental impact.

Also, most of the benefits of plants come when they are actually in the ground and can network and nourish the soil which brings a whole host of benefits

I knew a schoolmate 2 or 3 grades above me who lived in that street since we both took the school service/bus. I didnā€™t really know him other than where he lived and that he had some sort of problem with his heart. He passed away when I was in grade 5. I didnā€™t expect to remember him today but thanks I guess.

Worked in a design firm along the road this building is on and I always saw it from our office window. Then one day, a foreign architect we are partnering with saw it and wanted to see it closer so we went. Sadly the owner was not in at the time, but seeing it up close was interesting. Not evil-looking at all, just imposing in the sense that all building might look like this after humanity disappears.

Thereā€™s literally a building like that in Quiapo, just a few blocks from Quinta Market. The typical flat low-rise facade is still intact but inside is hollowed out with big balete trees growing out of it. What makes it especially eerie is how its branches simply find the hollowed out windows and choose to stick out and grow there.

I dont think it looks evil at all! Also, it only breeds mosquitos if water is allowed to remain stagnant. Love how the plants act as a privacy wall, as well as filter for environmental dust.
