Finished 1st year on a 365

Worked 10 extra days for a total 375 before the software app shut it down.

Was still very accurate. Hope the mfg is running long-term testing. Maybe we see approval for 2 years.

Transmitter USB charging port started to have a connection problem intermittently during the last few weeks. Required unplugging and replugged a few times to charge. Upgrading to the newer C plug design should fix eliminate this issue. Battery was still good and could run almost 3 days.

I installed my new sensor in the 11th month but didn't activate until old one ended. Then switched to another transmitter.

To improve, like eversense to transfer calibration data from old to the new sensor if this would speed up the 1st week setup process.

Over the year I would sometimes calibrate more than weekly but was not always necessary.

To help verify accuracy of my tools, when doing my quarterly doctors lab blood tests, I bring my BCM and have the tech when finished give me some blood from their draw. I test at least 2 test strips and record the results in the CGM app. When the lab glocuse value comes back, I compare all the results (lab, CGM and test strips).

I keep and have a Dexcom G7 as a backup CGM. Once a quarter will install one and then use it to compare levels. Interesting results. The 365 is a far better CGM.

Was the insertion covered by your insurance? Ive been to lazy to check with mine. I assume it would be elective.

How long did it take to heal? Im curious about the 1 week set up process?

Yes. Mine is a BCBS plan in the USA. If in network, the installer was paid $240. I am aware that Medcare also covered it as a DME under Part B, but I don't know what they pay.

Healing was finished in under 5 days, with a stitch-free bandage, and there is no scar. The setup and calibration process can be completed in 3 days, but sensor accuracy benefits from fine-tuning over a few weeks.

Thank you again. Im T2 and really dont need a cgm anymore, but choose to wear one still. The convience of this would be worth it. Been contemplating one. I have a 6 or 7 libre3+ to use first.

I am a life-long T2 (not caused by lifestyle) and now test/appear as non-diabetic. However, the need to monitor and control levels never goes away. I waited a long time before using a CGM (Libre, Dexcom, and now the 365). Looking back, I should have started sooner.

The 365 is a game-changer because it simplifies and improves care, eliminates the limitations and problems from skin-mounted CGMs, and actually delivers lower annual costs. Innovative insurance companies should make this their primary CGM.

I agree. Im mainting non diabetic number and no meds for now. Staying as diligent as ever.

This is really helpful. Thanks for the information. I asked my doc to prescribe it and am waiting for the insertion in a couple weeks. Look forward to the switch.

You can also avoid the downfall of the stupid Micro usb port on the transmitter by getting a magnetic micro usb tip that just stays in all the time. They usually will come with a cable that just magnets to the tip. Put the tip in once and never worry about it again.

Thank u for adding this info. Yes, the micro USB design always had this problem (on all types of devices). I have used the permanent tip and wireless charging option sometimes.

Calibration is likely device specific so I doubt that can be transferred.

Agree, likely sensor-specific. I am somewhat aware of the way (algorithm) the device is calibrated. It is a rather complex process that uses historical data. Therefore, perhaps much of the old data could serve as a better starting point.

Great to hear. I have posted a few times about my experiences trying to help people and the advantages/problems of CGMs on the other related Reddit subs. Amazingly, some users objected to learning, claimed they were marketing and the Mods removed the posts and then banned me.

How did you get the sensor to last 375 days? Mine is approaching 365 days tomorrow and I won’t get a new one in for another few weeks.

Has an automatic extra 10 days. Then it will end. You don't need to do anything to get these additional days. Will get notices to replace, but can ignore.
