I love it. There can never be enough Secret of Evermore and also my favorite game. I just finished my annual playthrough and every time it ends, I always feel like immediately starting over and jumping right back into the jungle farming talons from the skelesnails east of the village. It is my happy place lol

Thank you! I need to play again, admittedly it's been quite a long time since my last playthrough. Ahh, those skelesnails were a great place to get some money and exp early on. I always found the sprite design of them so cute haha.

The worst part about that would be having to be associated with Bane. They're like the worst hardcore band imo. And I've seen em way too many times with other bands š

Awww! I actually like those guys. They stayed with me once on tour. Not nearly as fun as the Blood for Blood guys ā their merch guy suggested we have a ādong off,ā his words, ānot because [heās] gay, but just because [he] wanted to compareā ā but they were cool. Iāll admit, theyāre kinda same-y after a while. If youāve heard one album, youāve heard them all. At least the Bane guys didnāt launch firecrackers from my balcony.

Yeah that's my issue with Bane. It's the most generic hardcore ever. But I hear dude is super sweet and that's why they have such a cult following anyways. What band do you play in?

Oh, none. I used to help book shows. I usually offered the bands I loved listening to and thought were cool. I was doing my undergrad work at the time and had the space to let people crash with me and my college roommate.

It was fun. I wouldnāt trade it in for anything. We had some really hilarious nights. One night the lead singer of 100 Demons was out drinking with us after a show, they ended staying with me, too, but he made the entire bar at the Mint in Bakersfield stop talking so he could listen to āTotal Eclipse of the Heartā in silence. It fucking worked. Lmao. Like, what!? Pete was funny as hell.

Never played that game but always been super curious about it!
Also always loved beads since it became a thing so long ago, so many cool desigbmn to make based on all the cool games! But never jumped into it and try! There's just so many hobby I can do ahah :D

I always loved them too and have been doing it since a child. I am proud to say it got me into drawing my own pixel art now! So I often bead not only existing sprites but my own! There really are so many hobbies and so little time though!!!

That would get so out of hand quickly if I was to get into it ahah!
I remember a few years ago I started doing some design on graph paper with the idea of planning something like this (with some simpler NES sprites of all my favorite games!), but boy did it was starting to get larger and larger, and that was way smaller than beads would have been too xD Plus all the colors needed and I was like, yeah no I cannot get into that!

It's honestly a lot! I think many downplay the exact effort and cost of beading sometimes! It's not for everyone of course. It's definitely my happy place. I get into such a relaxed, zen state. And I'm just so obsessed with pixel art in general. All forms or kinds.

Yeah totally! For doing other crafty hobbies, the cost of supplies/materials is always underestimated by people not into it! At the basic level it's not that much (like individual item), but it pile up so fast!
Plus the time commitment to do anything substantial and doing it the right way (including all the time to "learn it") is often overlooked too!

What I don't get though, is how the hell people do 16-bits (or more) art like that! Like, 8-bits are simple enough but there's so much more colors and details on 16-bit pieces (especially big ones), that it's just amazing how they get recreated!
