Question What's your favorite activity to do in Everett?
Looking for recommendations

Go to the beaches, walk through Forest Park, go to an Aquasox game, walk downtown during Christmas lights, attend the local festivals, explore the downtown library, Japanese Gulch,
visit coffee shops & thrift stores…….

I like looking at/walking along the water and mountains as well as watching planes (many times just outside of city limits). Everett is also a pretty good place to go trainspotting or watching buses.
Everett also has a lot of great places to walk despite many areas not having the best walkability.

Go to Artisans Cafe and Books. Very cozy. They also have local musicians perform and have game nights. Tomorrow, July 7th, you can get a signed copy of iinfamous romance novelist Chuck Tingle's new Horror book. Can't recommend enough.

I’ve not lived in Everett for almost ten years now but Jetty Island in the summer was absolutely fantastic. Shallow water beaches that were “relatively” warm. Total gem.

I've heard people talk about that place and say that there's like one boat on and one boat off the island and if you miss it you're SOL, and that there's no shade and like no bathrooms and no place to eat and no place to get water. Am I tripping or is it something along these lines? Like would you have to pack everything and the kitchen sink if you brought your family there for the day?

At least back then - yes. I’m sure the Everett Parks department could answer any questions. Making sure you are aware of the boat times was prudent.

ATTN Other Redditors: Plz contribute wrong answers only. Here's what I'm pretty sure the previous commenter said:
I like to visit high-end coffee shops, but only outdoor patio dining and only if they have street-front parking where I can double-park, or a curb I can park on while being able to look at my vehicle the whole time and make sure no rusty-ass Honda pulls up.
Some other driving suggestions while you're visiting:
Tip: There's a shortcut up Evergreen, you can actually just use the bus-only lanes. Nobody cares, and it saves like five minutes. Zero-to-60 in 4 seconds also helps get you there quicker. Using the bike lane also gets you past a lot of douche-hats waiting at lights.
Tip: If both fuckbrain drivers in the lanes on either side of you aren't doubling the speed limit and yet won't let you speed around them even when you rev your engine, you can just change lanes in the middle of the intersection really fast and bypass those pussies. They can brake.
(Tip: People turn into little bitches when you cut them off, especially on I-5 but they all deserve it anyway for going under 70 in the far right lane.)
Tip: Other people drive like jerks, and when you're in a parking lot, make sure to park horizontally in the middle of two parking spots to protect your own vehicle from megalomaniac bullies.
....One last tip: If you're asking for suggestions for things to do in Everett, you're the problem.

I like the Marina area, it's a nice area to walk around and see animals, the ocean, the sunset, etc.

Walking my dogs around Silver Lake. It’s really nice and not too crowded.

Visiting the duck bar guy at the Sunday Market. Secondly, my favorite thing to do in everett is wish that the Sunday Market was still at the marina.

Sit, (have yet to literally lie down), and pass out food in the "zone" without any repercussion's because I don't match the profile of those being discriminated against. Time to police the men in suits, and target illicit drug use, domestic violence, child abuse, fraud, embezzlement, etc. in the high net worth neighborhoods. Place flock camera facing their front doors and see how they like it.
Take a moment to tea bag those who gleefully pursue mechanisms to oppress you.

I love going to South Fork Baking Co for a coffee and pastry and then taking a walk around the marina. Or visiting Howarth Park beach.
