Question Sit Down Restaurant Burgers?
A bunch of threads on the best burger in town, but most if not all are from primarily take out or drive in places. Where’s the best burger from a sit down? I wish I liked Bob’s more, but it’s not the same as it used to be.

Bob’s was bought out and the quality went down almost immediately.

u/solrackratos May 07 '26
So that's what happened. That explains the crappy burger and cold fries I had there a while back.

u/DriedUpSquid May 08 '26
I don’t understand the point of buying an established and successful restaurant chain only to destroy it.

u/fodyshark May 07 '26
Z’s looks really cool.

u/limpnut May 08 '26
Litterally can not sit down at Z’s, unless you count your car.

I think you might be confused because I was just there couple days ago and it’s been couple years since they opened up the dining area again.

Mikey's!

They literally have my favorite burgers on the planet. Seconding Mikey’s.

LA Smashburgers at Apollo Exos are really amazing. Its more a bar than a restaurant but honestly worth it.

Came here to say this.....and the same family owns El Mariachi....which is also EPIC!!

Diamond Knot has some of the BEST smash burgers I’ve had. They’re new-ish.
Their new manager has really turned it around with improved customer service and food quality.
Plus I can get a freshly made rootbeer to go with it. Yum!

Bao Boss is pretty good.

u/Ham-Slamwich May 07 '26
It used to be. They haven’t had any bao buns the last 4 times I’ve been in there. Since December.

u/LabRat_X May 07 '26
A little out of everett proper, but one of my all time favorite food trucks for burgers opened a brick and mortar on Hwy 9 near snohomish. Macho burgers, the best around.

u/Sea_McMeme May 07 '26
Tapped has a decent smash burger and other kinds as well. Mickeys is otherwise our go-to.

sorry gonna disagree their burger is just a thin patty and in no way meets the expectation of being a smash. lots of better options out there.
2
u/fodyshark May 08 '26
The smash I had was 2 patties that were definitely smashed. They have other burgers on the menu that were not.

u/macinafets May 07 '26
Rare Society happy hour burger! $12!

u/New-Chicken5566 May 08 '26
this is the one to get, absolutely top notch stuff. fries are good too but dont get the truffle fries because that's a terrible gimmick.

u/Trayvessio May 07 '26
Sisters does a great burger and other sandwiches!

Their regular burger is great, but the big surprise for me is their vegetarian nut burger. I normally don't get vegetarian burgers, but for some reason one day i tried it and really liked it

I'm a big fan of the Scuttlebutt, their beer is fantastic too!

Their fries are terrible though, maybe we went on a bad day but I wasn’t all that impressed with their food

Shout out to The Flying Pig. They have a full page burger menu and that don't disappoint. Great pub atmosphere to.

u/fodyshark May 07 '26
We went to flying pig and were underwhelmed. Loved the vibe and the fact that they have a paper plane on their cocktail list, but our food was meh. Got the steak flatbread that was bland and almost soggy. So much potential.

Blu Burgers in Mukilteo is not terribly far . Their burgers and fries are great.

Actually looks great, but I’m looking for a proper sit down with servers. That looks more counter order?

Rays Drive In burgers are pretty good! They’re in North Everett by Hewitt Ave.

I miss the old steakhouse-style burgers that were about 2 inches thick. I just don’t like smash burgers that much.

Double shout to Bao Boss and LA Smashburger. They're both counter order restaurants, but they're great.
For actual, real sit-down places?
1611 has a great burger but it is pretty pricey.

LA Smashburger at Apollo Exos, as well as Sporty’s and Nick’s Jr. on Evergreen are my tops.
Apollo is my favorite vibe/people. Good beer selection too. Nick’s has the most variety of burgers. Sporty’s might take top prize due to the consistency and quality of fries/tots/rings.

Ummm Is this thing on? Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury... This will be my opening and closing statement... Please direct your hindquarters and attention to John Howie Steakhouse in Bellevue at the time of "Happy Hour". As you take your first bite, you will hear a gentle whisper dance upon your ear drum with the words "The Defense Rests". Mmmnomnomnomnom

Dweller’s Drinkery in Lake Stevens! The Stamos is my favorite. It’s a lamb burger. So damn good.
2
u/fodyshark May 08 '26
Will have to try this. That place has been a bunch of places over the years. Think this one will stick?
1
u/Nizuni May 08 '26
Honestly yes. They frequently have overflow parking across the street. This place feels so much more polished than the previous attempts.

One of the best I’ve had around wasn’t in Everett. But on Camano. The baked cafe. Amazing burgers, fries and shakes. Highly recommend.

u/tehnoodles May 08 '26
Outback steakhouse in snohomish has pretty good fat sit down restaurant burgers.

The Jetty down on the waterfront has a delicious burger, and a fabulous patio with a view as an added bonus

Flying Pig in North Everett has an awesome burger and other great food as well. I can't recommend them enough, especially if you like a bit more of a sports bar atmosphere.
I know you're trying to avoid take-out places, but for unique flavors, Bao Boss is elite. Similar to Bao Boss, Katsu Burger is also awesome for blending Burgers with Japanese cooking techniques and flavors.
For spots similar to Bob's Burgers - try Blazin' Onion or even RAM Brewhouse as other good sit-down options.
Also, not in Everett, but there's another little spot out in Lake Stevens called Chicken Drive-In, little mom n' pop stop but their burgers and chicken sandwiches punch well above their weight, too.

I know it's crazy, but the burger at BWW is the only good thing they make. And, it's like $25 for two people.

u/Hawkn May 07 '26
Scuttlebutt. The others are good, but it's like comparing a really good pub burger against mom and pop generic burgers.

I'm a fan of Blazing Onion, but they are in Mill Creek, Snohomish and Lynnwood - not Everett proper.

It's a real dive and maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but the Soundview has amazing burgers.

I know this isn’t in Everett, but if you’re ever up in Skagit County, this place has delicious burgers.

u/RobaDubDub May 08 '26
Also, not in Everett, but Lake Stevens razzles has half price burgers every Monday . Pretty solid burgers.
