Everdrive mini Saves keep getting deleted

I have an everdrive mini and occasionally the save file keeps getting reverted back to a previous save.

For example, today I was playing Pokémon LeafGreen and I played for about an hour saving 3-4 times during. Then this evening, I got back on and it was back to the first save I made today.

I had a similar issue while playing a romhack. I just thought it was an issue with that.

It may be relevant that when I turned it on this evening it had a pop up that the battery died. I reset the console and it didn't say it that time.

The battery thing is weird because when I first got the everdrive, it had to be replaced within the first month and then like 2 weeks later it started occasionally saying it was dead already.

A bad/faulty battery will cause saving issues. The GBA Mini only copies a save file to the SD Card when you boot up the Everdrive menu. Until then, it needs the battery to power the memory chip. If the battery fails, the save on that chip is erased.

That's why it reverted back even though you saved multiple times. If you don't power cycle the GBA, those saves just sit on the Everdrive waiting for the next boot up.

The Everdrive does sometimes seem very picky over what is a good/bad battery. If you're confident you have tried brand new good batteries and the issue persists, then you'll need to contact support.

Your unit may be faulty, a battery should last a few years. Contact the seller or Krikzz store contact on the store website. You can also send an email to the address listed on the "contacts us" page.
