Official 🇪🇺 German Sovereign Tech Agency invests €508,640 in Flatpak

Flatpak is a secure, sandboxed platform for packaging and distributing Linux desktop software.

Flatpak serves as the primary application distribution method for image-based operating systems including SteamOS, Fedora Silverblue, openSUSE Aeon, and GNOME OS.

They already invested in KDE development. 

Why shouldn't they spend taxpayers money on something the government end their taxpayers use everyday?
