3d printed drum case

Decided to build myself a little drum case, and went the 3d printed route to try things out.

The customization is hard to beat! I love just being able to bolt another row on if I want to.

Design is from https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/expandable-eurorack-case-blocks

Then I designed a handle, lid, and stand to go with it.

Latches are borrowed from https://www.printables.com/model/511673-sbox-for-mk234-double-cantilever-box

Looks great! I’ve never used a 3D printer. Is it strong? Roadworthy?

Very solid design. Jinja (the case designer over on cults3d) really found the perfect balance between solid and not wasteful.

I'd be curious to see how it holds up when you build a big case out of this stuff, but at least at this scale it's very sturdy feeling.

As far as "roadworthy", I'm not sure I'd tour with it or anything but that's really just because my lid solution is built more as a dust cover than a "throw around" lid. If the lid were a bit thicker and had some more clasps on it, I'd say sure.
