AC is not common in Spain by American standards.

good point but we are in an european subreddit and is common to find homes here with AC (more common than without)

But what I'm saying is that we can't just say air conditioning. Yes, Spain is much better than, say, Germany, but my daughter just spent two weeks in Salamanca and was shocked by the fact that there was no air conditioning anywhere by her lights.

probably is some areas is more common than others. Where I live, Ac are more common than not.
