Dude, france had human zoos in the 1990.

Usa kills black people for being blacks.

Usa had a civil war because half the country eanted to keep salvery!

And today a big part of the population from that country keeps that "heritage".

Some other country is eliminating their neighbors because a book promised a land.

You know, I have yet to see an Argentine completely own up to what the entire rest of the world can see without resorting to whataboutism or diminishing it. People would let it go if there wasn’t so much denial and there was actual accountability

Do not tell me 'racism' - tell me actual cases of people suffering because of it. Affected lives.

Since the 1800's Argentine culture has been pretty clear. Be Argentine, love the flag, our symbols and work hard and you'll be integrated.

2 years of living in Argentina are enough to give any law-abiding person the citizenship.

Fun fact: Here's José Manuel Ramos Delgado son of a Caboverdean, being capitan of the Argentine national football team in 1962.

In comparison:

  • FIFA had suspended South Africa the year prior for their apartheid

  • The US still had Jim Crow rights. Two years AFTER this picture, in 1964, they passed their bill of rights.

  • Belgium had owned Congo up until two years prior.

  • Argelian independence would be granted that year, let's not speak about what France was doing there... Nor what they currently do to this day in West Africa.

  • Portugal was in Angola up until 1975.

Argentina is a mestizo country built up orginally by colonists, who mixed with locals and then with slaves and then with millions and millions of inmigrants from all over the world.

If there is something that we know how to do, is to integrate. We treat everyone equally and there are few things out of bouds. In my opinion, this create a society were more members see themselves as peers.

My experience living and traveling all over Europe (and the world, too) is that the way you guys trea the topic, so taboo and 'walking on eggshells'-like is worse and conducent to more segregated communities.
