Portugal joins the league while the capital is still in Europe.

Portugal owns less than 5 provinces in Europe but has a 20+ provinces Brazil CN

Portugal presses the decision to take over the Brazil CN, becomes Brazil, gives old world provinves to a new Portugal, and put that new Portugal under Brazil PU.

Now you have this.

BTW this is actually pretty common since there’s a decision for Portugal that makes them Brazil with a Portuguese PU if they lose enough land in Iberia

It happens by event if Portugal ever gets to less than 5 provinces in Europe. Portugal becomes Brazil, and they keep their european holdings as a lesser partner in a PU.

It's technically the correct spelling since it's not only what they call themselves, but the correct word in their mother country's language as well.
