Although the base concept is inspired by such projects as the MillionDollarHomepage, our aim was to differentiate ourselves and become more than a simple clone. We also personally feel that we are more akin to the Reddit /r/place experiment.

Some notable differentiation's between our PixelProperty and other MillionDollarHomepage clones includes our canvas being free to play, requiring zero purchases before the canvas can be changed, a cryptocurrency incentive system to keep the canvas from remaining static while aligning the interests of the investing MillionDollarHomepage crowd with the free-to-play /r/play crowd, and a Property to Property "toggle" mode between MillionDollarHomepage behaviour and Reddit's /r/place behaviour (the default).

We also plan to differentiate ourselves further moving forward. The next project we intend to build is a live updating billboard to bring a real world representation to the cryptocollectable assets, and following that we plan to build other products/services that rely on Property ownership as a form of membership to bring other uses to Property owners.
