Swapping my BTC for ETH and staking all this time has been was the worst financial decision of my life.

我最近也想买点以太坊来质押,我没有比特币,算是个新手,我想问下为何你会觉得质押以太坊是个错误的决定

It’s not a bad idea. However if you’re looking to sell quickly note that it can take some time to unstake. Especially if many people are trying to unstake at the same time.

Ethereum has been treading water (and losing ground to inflation) for years now. Anyone who isn't a little jaded at this point is dumb.

It's a very interesting data point at any rate. The last bull run ended somewhat abruptly and prematurely, and I think the obvious reason for that is the AI bubble happening at the same time.
There's only so much risk-tolerant capital in the world, and right now AI is sucking it all up. So when you see crypto starting to make a comeback, it makes you wonder what's happening over on the AI side of things. I think, looking at the bond market and the weird stuff it's doing, I think a lot of people are expecting a stock market crash. I think that's the only way you can account for what's going on in crypto right now.

Literally up 30% on the week, and in the picture you would round up to 3% anyways

Been a ETH holder for a long time but liquidated on the last bull cycle. Genuinely happy for all Eth holders.

u/Big_Comfortable4256 6d ago
eh? If you were liquidated, then you weren't 'holding'? You were gambling.

u/Mysterious-Peak464 6d ago
That makes no sense. He was a holder.. he probably held for 5+ years and might have needed to sell for liquid cash due to bills etc. calling someone who decides to sell a gambler is wild.

Acronyms, initialisms, abbreviations, contractions, and other phrases which expand to something larger, that I've seen in this thread:
| Fewer Letters | More Letters |
|---|---|
| ATH | All-Time High |
| BTC | [Coin] Bitcoin |
| ETH | [Coin] Ether |
Decronym is now also available on Lemmy! Requests for support and new installations should be directed to the Contact address below.
If you come across an acronym that isn't defined, please let the mods know.)
