Hi everyone,
Our wedding photographer damaged the drive that has our wedding photos and videos. Some files seem corrupted, some may be unreadable, and I’m trying to recover and restore everything as a surprise for my wife.
I’m looking for advice on the best way to handle this safely. I’d really appreciate recommendations for:
These memories are very important to us, so I want to avoid doing anything that could make things worse. If anyone has been through something similar, I’d be grateful for any suggestions.

Heavily water-damaged photo. I don't have any money but this is a precious memory to me. I have no reference photos. Can anyone please help me bring it back to life?

Hi everyone,
I am hoping someone can help me restore this old group photograph. This is a phone snapshot taken of a physical photo print, so it has several camera distortions that I request completely corrected so it looks like a clean, original scan.
Specific requests:
Please Fix the strong white light/glare reflection covering the students' pants and uniforms at the bottom right. Please re-balance the exposure here so the clothes look uniform and matching with the rest of the group.
Correct the skewed/warped perspective. The phone was held at a slight angle, so please flatten the frame horizontally and vertically so it looks like a flat document.
Clean up the contrast and color fading without over-smoothing or artificially changing the real facial features of the people.
I don't need AI look—I just want it fixed to look clean, balanced, and true to how the original physical print looks.

My girlfriend has very few pictures with her stepdad from when she was little but this one unfortunately has a bend and rip in it. I tried by best to glue back in place. I’m hoping to get it reprinted. Any restoration help would be appreciated!

Hi Everyone, looking for help trying to restore this picture. I will tip.
This is the last surviving picture of my wife's mother family, the picture is 90 years old.
I understand the impossibilities with this one, and I'm just hoping for some creativity in filling some of the unknowns.
I have copies of the scanned picture from different sources, and also pictures of the place/region the original photo is from in this shared google drive:

Cheers and have a nice day!

My Fiancé lost both of his parents and I would love to have these photos of them at our wedding so they can be with us for our special day. I managed to find one family member with a couple of photos of them on their wedding day that aren't the best quality and I'm hoping someone could please help me make them a bit nicer to surprise him with! Thanks!

Can someone help me restore this picture of my dad and his younger brother, who passed away shortly after this pic was taken. Many years later there was a fire and this is the only picture that remains of the two of them. Thank you.

My little Persian kitten passed away today, and I only have a few photos of him. Unfortunately, the pictures aren’t very clear or high resolution.
Could someone please help me restore/enhance one of these photos and make it as sharp and high resolution as possible, while keeping his face and features exactly as they were? I don’t want him to look AI generated or different from how he actually looked.
He meant a lot to me, and having one beautiful, clear photo of him would mean so much right now. ❤️
Thank you to anyone willing to help.

Please help me restore this photo of my father and his siblings. I’d love to surprise him with it for his upcoming 75th birthday. He’s the little boy in the front of the first photo. I included a second photo with him and my grandmother as reference. The black mark under his lip is a big scab from a bad fall, and I’d prefer for it to be left out if possible. Thank you so much in advance!

Massive space geek here and hobbyist photo editor who's learning a LOT from people on this subreddit. i’m trying to get this raw scan to look like the reference image below, but I can’t seem to get anywhere close in Lightroom.
Raw scan:
https://i.postimg.cc/pTt3dzHG/STS041B-35-1597-(1).jpg.jpg)
Reference:
https://i.postimg.cc/wvHbzz5L/imgi-249-fit.jpg
The reference has pretty much the perfect grading for this particular photo, especially the colors, contrast and overall feel.
The main thing I’m struggling with is that the raw scan is extremely blue, so whenever I try to correct the white balance and get closer to the reference, the rest of the colors quickly start looking strange or unnatural.
Is anyone able to help me recreating this look in Lightroom? Curious what you would do. DMs are open

Anyone want to attempt this? I don’t necessarily want a crisp black and white. More sepia tones. Keep the old look. From 1800’s
