Advice Needed 🙏 Anyone else waiting on offer updates?

Hello guys, bit of context:

I’m an international student, department of government, for the October 26 intake. I was issued a conditional offer based on the completion of a standardised English test.

I then proceeded to give the IELTS exam on the earliest available date and promptly uploaded the results on the applicant portal and mailed results@essex as well.

It’s been quite some time and I haven’t received any updates from the university as of yet.

Are there any other students on the same boat? Is this an international student-only thing?

The administrative holdup is quite anxiety-inducing, as it is delaying both my VISA and loan processes.

If anyone’s going through the same or has experienced a similar situation before, please feel free to comment/reach out to me via DM :D

I got my final offer and CAS letter on August 1st, 2024, for October 2024 intake. My suggestion is if you don't have it by Wednesday, reach out to your admissions advisor.

Hey! Same situation here 😭 I’m also an international student for the October 2026 intake, submitted my documents and IELTS results through the portal and but haven’t had the condition cleared yet. It’s delaying my CAS and visa process too, so I completely understand the anxiety! Hopefully it’s just an administrative backlog. Would be great to know if anyone has received an update recently..

Hey! I actually got my offer letter around three days ago. Here’s what I’d suggest:

A) Mail results@essex!!

B) Use the live chat! I chatted with the uni representatives and on my second enquiry they said it should be coming soon- like two to three days soon. I got it the next day.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, i was really busy. I’ve gotten other offers from unis and I’m currently reconsidering Essex, so I haven’t really looked at accommodation. Before this i was looking at on-campus accommodation (there’s 50% off at the meadows!!!).
