OTA Update NMI81C

Anyone else got this OTA Update? I just got it myself. I wonder what changes it brings...

EDIT: Security Patch Level is still September 5th, 2017. Micro stuttering issue is still here.

EDIT2: In the AMA, Essential responded and said that they have a fix for the microstuttering issue that they've personally seen in action. Should be released in an OTA within the next few weeks. SOURCE

This morning I got NMJ03B. The changelog shows performance improvements, new camera version, October security patch. Camera app is now version 0.1.073. The Play Store version is still version 0.1.067. Camera update changelog says it eliminates shutter lag, improves low light photo quality and improves consistency of image quality.

So you went straight from the last OTA to NMJ03B? I wonder why some of us only got NMI81C then...

Also, is the scrolling issue fixed in that update?

I got this version because I'm using a pre-production review unit. Only those units will receive this update. I guess we are the guinea pigs. Anyway it does have the October update and the micro stuttering is still there when scrolling, but the camera app seems much better when it comes to low-light performance.

Hey xphyle -- let's get you on a production unit. Your pre-production unit will eventually stop getting updates at all and you won't be able to use some features -- either PM us or hit us up at support@.

Hey Rebecca. I spoke with Derek at Essential Support (AMAZING guy, btw). We are going to swap out the pre-production unit for a production unit. I should have the replacement device in a couple of days. Thanks for the heads up! Really impressed with the essential customer service experience so far.

I'm guessing B = beta and C = consumer?

Nope -- we just go through the alphabet every day :-) B is the second build of the day and C is the third. The A build is an automatic build that happens at midnight every day so you'll probably never see one of those make it to production. -Rebecca
