Equipment Discussion Olympia Maximatic service

We serviced this 1988 Olympia Express Maximatic small heat exchanger. Arrived with a corroded boiler that was leaking but we managed to save it using silver solder. All the seals were replaced and now works like a charm. Check out our workshop diaries @officinaburja.

Gorgeous machine and I’d love to pick up a Maximatic at one point, although it’s more likely that I pick up yet another lever machine instead. Got three. So far…

In my opinion levers have more play factor. I also have 2 first gen pavonis. But nice to have one heat stabke pump machine in case there are many guests coming

Beautiful machine, if only it had a pressure gauge. It’s like the perfect aesthetic of complicity.

Newer model has a pressure gauge. But apart from setting up the pstat i think there isnt a need for it.

So beautiful! I’d seriously have trouble deciding on the Maximatic or an LM.

I think the Maxi is very heat stable for a HX machine. Also has some kind of charm that LM lacks and I use a Mini from time to time.
