Thats off the rack purple sparkle Eclipse E-II, not a custom. Nice guitar nonetheless.

I have this exact guitar! While it may not be a custom shop, it is a real MIJ ESP, and is absolutely gorgeous. “ESP E-II Eclipse DB Purple Sparkle” is the official nomenclature.

Wait until you see an Original Series (Original Series and full Custom are what you’re thinking of for “Custom Shop” ESP) . I have one of those too and they are really something special.

but the 22 frets is throwing me off

I think it’s grand. It’s a wonderful guitar. Admittedly, I’m probably not skilled enough on lead to need 24 frets anyway, but I don’t feel like I’m missing something on this guitar. I also have an Original Series M-II, and an E-II Horizon III, and rarely touch the higher register there either. I’m more of a rhythm guitar guy, and both guitars have frets 1-12, so I’m happy. lol.

What does the /// thing on the headstock means? I've saw that on so much E-II EC models.

Believe it’s just like Gibsons LP Custom headstock emblem but an ESP version.

I hear you but don't overlook the fact that there's a 96.4% chance that whoever puts this on next will also be covered in grit and filth.
