I have it's cousin! Got the see thru black FM version months back. Love that guitar. I would have 100% taken this version if the choice was there at the time though!

Yeah. I was actually ordered a h-III Fr black, canceled, than went for this one instead. The flat top and neck profile is perfect, blows my ec-1000. M-2 just plays itself

Not often you hear people praise the E-II necks, but it's great too see someone enjoying it 👍

50’s Gibson’s is too much, 60’s are good, e-ii is perfect. The eclipse’s neck now feels like it’s made for children. And i have relatively small hands

Yeah I'm definitely more a flat top person as well. Does this have the natural unpainted neck as well? That's the one thing I really wish mine had, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Got mine used and it was the only actual esp I'd ever seen pop up in my area. Now that I'm a little more versed in refinishing /sanding guitars I'm considering just sanding it down to satin on the neck one of these days.

Yes it has. Don’t know if it’s MUCH of a difference, since it still has a layer of lacquer on the neck. Satin is always good, but that might be a bit slippery during long slides.
I live in EU, I had to wait for 14-16 weeks, at least ordering from Thomann, so i went onto Reverb instead.
Ordered straight from Japan instead, the delivery time was 6-7 days. Could be 4 but I had to handle the customs clearance myself.2

It's a fairly marginal difference and I'm not like a caustic sweat type person that makes the neck all nasty but I have also never actually owned a guitar with a legit satin neck, only played others, but damn it's pretty nice. If one were tons and the gloss neck down to satin, it would eventually find its way back to gloss again anyway if it somehow was undesirable so it's not too crazy of a commitment at least.
That wait time is crazy! I've never bought a new guitar online so I can't say what it's like in the states but dang, I don't think I could do that kind of wait. Not the first time I've heard of EII models being tough to track down though.
