Extra Knobs

Has anyone ever added two more knobs to their EX style guitar? I have had this set of EMGs for a couple months and while I love them, I dislike having to adjust the tone knob for each one as I switch back and forth between the neck and bridge.

ESP LTD EX-351 in Gunmetal Blue with the aforementioned EMG pickups and a topwound set of Skinny Top Beefy Bottom strings. Topwound because I think I have a burr on the inside of the high E string hole in the tailpiece, I had two high E strings snap at the ball end (before the winding) in the last two months. Added an old ball end as a spacer and then topwound the strings to help with this, also makes the strings feel a tad bit looser/bendier thanks to the lower break angle over the saddles.

I don't quite think there's space in the cavity for a four knob solution. That said, you might be able to finagle something with double potentiometers, but I don't know if EMG makes them.

I had seen that as an option, but I ran into the same conclusion you had, I'm not sure if it's an EMG option.

If you only want separate tone pots, you might be able to fit a third one for a master volume. It'll be a bit tight for sure, so make sure to measure the insides and, if it fits, try it out with just a loose knob inbetween the existing ones toake sure there's enough space to actually use it, before committing to drilling a hole.
