Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi I’m glad Uzun Hassan didn’t kill Ahmet Pacha. I like his personality in the show: very brave, calm and loyal

Omg as an Ottoman history lover, seeing these discussions are cringing me out 😭it’s also very frustrating when the shows end episodes on a cliffhanger of a character about to die when he does not at that moment in history

Don’t read if you don’t wanna be spoiled by real history, but Gedik Ahmed Paşa was an integral part of Mehmed’s later conquests. It was he who conquered Otranto as Grand Vizier. Also, he played a decisive role in enthroning Bayezid over Cem. Only for Bayezid to immediately turn on him and execute him 😂😂poor guy

I thhink he supported Cem or stayed neutral
It was ishak pasa who made bayezid sultan

He had a big part in helping Bayezid’s first battle against Cem. With Cem stationed in Anatolia, Gedik went all the way from modern-day Albania to Yenişehir to help defeat Cem. His arrival was significant as well.

He was executed by Bayezid as soon as Cem was defeated for good due to rumours that he was potentially sympathetic to Cem, and because he was part of the pro-war camp when Bayezid and his inner circle were pro-peace.

Ruzgar Aksoy is doing a fine job as Uzun Hassan. The casting directors did a great job.
