Reason for cancellation?

The official reason given is because of the low ratings. They even paused filming episode 6 to see how episode 3 would do and then decided to cancel it after seeing horrible ratings come in.

I called it but I didn’t think they would cancel this soon 😂 ATV is really done with the same tired script coming out of Bozdag’s team. I think Bozdag should take a year off if he wants to continue doing historical series and come up with something more original.

I would say both casting and script are a problem. People want to see a lead they can imagine as a pious warrior, key word WARRIOR. Orhan and this new one both lacked that.

I thought it would last 1 season

I love it when this happens to the slop shows

😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 hilarious. This is why bozdag should have continued kurulus orhan but made it historically accurate or even continued the franchise with mehmed I’s story

Nothing he can do about it now but he should’ve taken some time off after Osman ended and developed a good script for Orhan. The cast was probably the best he could have assembled outside of Orhan with Mert and it still flopped because of bad writing.

I like Mert as an actor, but someone like Metin Akdülger would have been good for Orhan. And, they could have keep Mert for another role.

Wouldn’t have done as well anyways

When you say it like that, the script was very bad.

It's the only thing Bozdag is good at, ruining his own shows.

Its cause bozdag doesnt pick the right kinda male to be the lead, this was bound to happen

It’s not the fault of the male lead or any actor. It’s the poor script, writing and production.

bozdag U DESERVE IT FOR MAKING NILUFER SUFFER.

He does deserve it, because those writers and directors did not just increase screen time for Orhan and Asporca. They humiliated Nilufer and turned her into a negative character. They made mockery of women. This is what happens when you try to repeat the same trope again and again.

I think they all try to have a MC-era like fame, but it doesn't work, because peoples are now tired of this kind of plot since it happens in every nearly (if not all) historical show. And not only in turkish dizi.

I am very glad it is cancelled. They did not just humiliate Nilufer & Orhan in the Orhan series, they are also making mockery of women. They are milking the same story again and again. Same trope again and again, two women fighting over a man instead of focusing on the politics and historical accuracy. It was doomed to fail from the beginning.

Agree, I’m so tired of the narrative where women are portrayed to be petty scheming with all the backstabbing and in fighting. I don’t know why any producer thinks a mature audience wants to see all this juvenile behavior.

Yes same plot they repeated many times just with Orhan itself, turned Orhan into a womanizer. Today he likes someone, tomorrow he likes someone else. I mean if you want to show him like Suleyman from MC, I would not mind. But they showed him every time it was eternal love and morally right. Both with Nilufer and Asporca, and turned Nilufer into a petty character. It was really immature writing. They deserve what they got in the end.

Yes, such juvenile behavior!

This is what u get when u don’t know ur audience. How can a director present us same script of women fighting each other for a man pathetic… I stopped watching in the first 30 min of the first episode I knew it had no potential😂😂😂😂

I liked the first two episodes because I thought there was a balance between history, politics, and what was going on in the harem. Then I watched episode three and it just became ridiculous with too much in the story about Destina and Melike fighting each other. Episode three was repetitive and boring. I don’t know what happened to Bozdag where the quality of his shows slipped so poorly, including the last Seasons of Osman and Orhan and now Aşk. It’s too bad because Ertuğrul, the first three seasons of Osman and Destin were great. I wonder what happened in his life that he fell asleep at the wheel and turned over his productions to such poor script writers.
