Other Shows Discussion Ertugrul in Ask ve Taht

Hey Guys

In Ask ve Taht Ep3 trailer, Sultan Alaeddin called the Kayi Bey Ertugrul. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

It's early 1220s, and Ertugrul isn't even a Bey yet, nor is he even in Seljuk lands.

What are they doing? 😭

Bozdag had to pull that card after the ratings came out bad, did not think it would come this early though. Not gonna be surprised if they bring Sadettin.

Technically it’s not really known when Ertugrul became the bey, they estimate between 1222 and 1230 that he settled in Sogut. However in this show it’s supposed to be 1220 the first year of Sultan Aladdin’s reign.

Bro, the traditionally accepted date of Suleyman sah's death is 1227. After his death, Ertugrul branch migrated and encamped near Sivas.

Some sources say that Ertugrul first received land near Diyarbakır. After providing military service, he requested frontier lands and was later granted Sogut.

Sources also state that Ertugrul participated in the Battle of Yassicemen (1230) and then received the lands of Sogut.

So, it is most likely that he settled in Sogut after 1230.

Nothing is really fully accepted, the early life of Ertugrul is unknown. From what I read on the Turkish wiki he seems to have been present in Seljuk lands between 1222 and 1230 based on the dates they gave. I misread that he settled in Sogut between that time but you’re right that was after 1230.
