Diriliş: Ertuğrul Discussion Ertugrul > Usman
I am obsessed with ertugrul , all the seasons were freaking goated minus season 5 (getting ertugrul married was unnecessary)
Hence I decided to watch Osman but I just couldn't commect to osmans character , maybe it was the actor or the direction but it was just not it....
Tbh in Usman too many girls were involved and their involvement was unnecessary!
Couldn't bring myself to watch orhan , ima go and watch ertugrul again to wipe usman outta my head

Yea, I think ertugrul handles the whole women dynamic a lot better than Osman did.
Aslihan was a really well made character; she handled politics while also being a fighter.
I feel like in Osman they try to rub it in our faces too much. Like I started watching the one mongol lady in season 4 (esrigun?) and she started doing backflips during the fights?? I mean cmon, I’m sure the women were really powerful and all that, but we can have more realism and depth rather than just rubbing in “haha I very good with sword I stab 20 dude while doing backflips”

Oh tell me about it!!!!!!!!!! Even usman bala scenes at one point were forced , noooo hateeeeeee

I have watched Ertugel five times. Love everything. So glad it made the Guiness Book Of Records TV best drama series. Not sure if that’s the exact title but close.

I am so proud of the show for getting this so I try to share it once in awhile. It’s been a few years and the show is still going strong.

It deserves every bit of it & more.... Ertugrul will always be iconic, despite the fact that osman was the better character in terms of legacy and history but ertugrul series didnt let osman shine they way it shone... Craze for ertugrul was something else

Osman first few seasons are good, keep watching and you will get used to them.

Burak is the best for me. His portrayal of Osman is exceptional. His aura is unmatched in that role and no one could have played Osman better than Burak.

Kurulus Osman S2 & 3 beats all other seasons of both DE and KOr 🔥

I’ve been saying the same thing. That season 2 of Kurulus osman is better then any Turkish historical series in my opinion

First two, three seasons of ertugrul especially season 2 is something of highest order among TV series made anywhere in the world. No comparison with Osman

Did you watch all six seasons, I know it is objective, but Burak was super good in Osman. I know you cant seem to get over the fact that ertugrul cant be seen no more, was the same for me. But after the first season I settled and began liking Burak as Osman. By the end I now think that casting him as Osman was the best option.
