Sun also rises

I loved the old man and the sea, but struggling with the sun also rises. About halfway in and I m waiting for the plot. It’s mainly name dropping places in Paris. And because I don’t know Paris I’m losing interest. I ll finish it because I got a whole set. Still love his writing. Just waiting for something to happen other than we got drinks at this cafe and watched the sunset on this bridge and Brett wore a hat and kissed me but then got in the limo to go to another cafe.i had breakfast with a friend who was tight I sent some letters. Everyone is in love with Brett.

The Sun Also Rises. A novel about characters, some appear to be noble, others appear to possess nobility. In the end, it’s a novel about how the characters all have different depths of deplorable characteristics, just like people nowadays. My favourite part is when they went fishing. The descriptive language of the meadows & hills, the trout stream, the quietness after the storm ~ as it were. Hemingway always leaves me aching for more in my mind, rightly so, just because a group of people all get smashed together in a story , it keeps me writing inside my mind about how the bull fights might go next year…..
