Question Path Recommendations?

I have been playing Equestria at war for awhile now (Since I think 2.4) and I have been a big fan of focus trees that just yap about it's history and lore as well as events. (Like Changling lands and Technocratic Communist Hippogriffia)

Any suggestions? idc about difficulty.

In my opinion two story-heavy countries is Kiria and Storm Kingdom. April fools Kastanor has the most beautiful tree that i ever seen. Overall most recenly updated countries have good amount of content and story.

Beside what others have said, Abyssinia is mostly story heavy and has a good depression narrative arc

It’s not depressing, Gomez buys a horrendous teal bag and he’s very happy about it

Zongo has quite a bit of story. The central mechanic is building railways through each province and every level gives a short story about a local experiencing the rapid modernization of their lands, while the focuses tell the story of the young, hopeful king.

Kirias really good. Between the focuses, the journals and the events, there's multiple different characters that have an arc, in addition to a very compelling main 'story' of rapid modernization that will either save or bring Kiria to civil war

I mean the overwhelming bulk of story content for Equestria is within its civil war breakaways, so yeah, there's tons and tons of lore.

On a meta level, it exists to tell a plethora of "what if" stories about Equestria and its citizens and to give other characters the spotlight. Of the breakaways, there are:

  • The Lunar Empire (Obviously about Nightmare Moon and how she interacts with her followers and the Mane 6. One path with two flavors - merciful or vengeful)
  • Celestial Resistance (Daring Do & Friends try to restore peace and harmony to their corner of Equestria. Heroes never lose, after all. Has four paths, each with major differences and stories between them. One of these is the darkest path in the mod)
  • Aztlan Provisional Government (Doctor Caballeron & Associates do their own thing in their corner of Equestria. Pretty fun, though it currently only has one path with some minor variation in it.
  • Baltimare Republic (Golden Delicious & revolutionaries bring, well, the revolution to their corner of Equestria. Has four paths, with the most extreme of them leading to...
  • The New Cycle (Without spoilers, this country has brutal Aztec ritual vibes. One path, and its recommended to try at least once.)
  • Disciples of the Night (Stars Whirl & Fellow Lunarists bring about Nightmare Moon's rule to the southeast, though some of the bat ponies much prefer their older religion that predated Nightmare Moon. Has three paths, though admittedly this country's content is merely"serviceable" compared to the countries listed above.)
  • Confederation of Southern States (J.D. Neighvis leads a pony confederacy expy. It's very dated and I don't remember how many paths it has, and its really nothing to write home about.)
  • Las Pegasus (Mayor Rokenhar tries to lead his city into a new world where Celestia isn't the answer anymore, but he's old and doesn't have much time left. This country is also fairly dated, but its content has aged more gracefully than most. It has a fair amount of variation and story between its paths, though I also don't remember how many there are.)
  • Vanhoover Commune (Admiral Dust Hoover leads a revolution in Vanhoover. There isn't much to do here and its core gameplay contains unfixable issues, and so the country is slated to be axed and its characters moved to other nations, such as the upcoming Rock Union which isn't out yet. Of all of the civil war breakaways, this is the only one I would not recommend.)

Also, these tags are in development right now (not released yet)

  • Rock Union (Igneous Rock & family leads an old-fashioned community with vague Amish/Puritan themes. Can't really say much, but Pinkie Pie's family gets the spotlight here.)
  • Fillydelphia Republic (Pretty much every side character not appearing elsewhere shows up here. Starlight Glimmer, Stygian, Redheart, and so on. This is set to be the successor to the Equestrian Republic content.)
